Taylor Swift: An American, an inspiration, & a princess

This has nothing to do with what went down the other night at the VMA's with Kayne's jackass, first of all. For a long time I've liked Taylor Swift, and like the rest of the world was swept up by her sweet, American girl self. She seems so normal, and I've never said that about a celebrity before and actually meant it.

I remember reading Rolling Stone, Seventeen, etc, and just being mesmerized by how ridiculously kind-hearted she is. She's so much like a "princess", but without the diva aspect of it that girl's of my generation have adopted. So many girls these days claim they're "princesses", but really a majority of them are just spoiled brats and want everything handed to them on a silver platter. Check out a princess movie girls, real princesses aren't rude Miss. Priss's, they're adorable, polite, and wonderfully nice. Also, by adorable I do not mean physically attractive. You can be anyone of any shape, look, size, whatever and be adorable. It's all about how you carry yourself!

I will admit that after the VMA scandal I've seen Taylor around the media more, like on TV, the internet, etc, which has sparked my sudden, larger interest in her. Today I checked out her YouTube channel (which is absolutely hilarious) so I could listen to a song of her's that I love, and I saw that she had "vlogs". I was surprised. In them you can really tell how truly kind and deeply genuine she is. I love the video where she pulls cinnamon rolls out of her purse, and her cousin—I think it was her cousin—thought she was weird for carrying them around all day in her purse, haha. I could really relate because that's definitely something I would do. I know she loves to bake too (or at least I think she does), which I've read about before in a magazine, and I love to bake all the time.

If I could choose exactly how I wanted to be in my "perfect life" (I know no one's life is perfect, but perfect compared to mine) I'd want to be just like her. :) You're a true inspiration Taylor to so many young girls, teenage girls, young and old women alike on how to be a proper lady!

My First Award: Kreativ Blogger!

Thank you Kathryn for nominating me for my first award! That was so awesome of you to think of me, it was very unexpected. :)

Before I go on with my nominations/seven things you may not know about me, I want to brag about this coupon I got in Seventeen today. First of all, they always offer cool freebies, and "if it's free it's for me", haha. Example, if I go to Ulta on September 15thI have until October 15th to collect the freebie, but I wouldn't push my luck waiting too longI get free mascara retailing at $19 dollars without a necessary purchase. HOLLA! In hard times like these, that's really awesome if you're a mascara using girl like me. I don't know if I'll actually go in and get it or not (there's not an Ulta conveniently close to me), but still, it's pretty darn cool.

So back to my coupon. It's for Aeropostalewhich is my favorite storeand you get any hoodie priced up to $59.90 for only $17. That is an AMAZING deal, and I love jackets. Another cool fact, I looked up hoodies on Aeropostale.com to see if there would be any I likedthere were, I'm in love with this oneand none of them even go up to $60. Pretty crazy!

To top it off, I got an Aeropostale coupon last month in Seventeen as well, and it's still valid. I get $10 off every $50 I spend. Going to use that one soon hopefully. :) My jacket has to wait until September 15th though, like the mascara.

Things you may not know about me:
1. I don't lack all belief in a "God". I consider God a "Higher Power" more than an independent God. I believe that a Higher Power comes through in many forms, such as a person, a pet, an event, etc, therefore not being something you can really "pray" to or be rewarded/punished by. "Praying" to me is self-reflection and meditation.
2. I have only been in one fist fight, and it was with a grown man that roughly weighed 275lbs. I won the fight with blows to the head. This all happened in Marilyn Manson's presence while he performed "The Dope Show".
3. When I was two or three, my dad got a puppy from his barber. We kept the dog for a while before giving it back (they "didn't know" it would get so big). My dad named the dog Gator, after his favorite college football team, the Florida Gators. (University of Florida is where I want to go for university, ironically.)
4. My childhood dog (not Gator) Sugar is still alive, and is fourteen years old. She lives with my grandmother.
5. I've seen Miley Cyrus in the flesh while she was shooting her movie "The Last Song" on Tybee Island, GA. While taking pictures like a creeper, my mom got a parking ticket that she talked down to $10 from $20.
6. I love the beach. Most people don't expect that because of the way I used to dress, my piercings, and my complexion.
7. I don't like wearing Marilyn Manson shirts even though I own more than I can count. I've severely outgrown it, and would much rather wear brighter, cuter clothes.
